It was press is nice, rare. That also kept him in front of her. I haven't done I think. Yeah, I heard Hamilton praising Teris is rare and on radio. I don't know what that was about. Maybe you should get a number or something. Hello, and welcome back to another episode with F one Fan Fiction. I promise you this episode is going to be just way, way, way more amazing than the race. That was just too amazing. We are your host. I am a Kash and I'm sorry. I let's get into it. What a blasting race, what a blistering and blasting race, and I say that for a reason. Sorry, you know that. Oh Yeah, obviously Parelli was having a blast yesterday, right, yeah, and and I see that the blame games have already begun. So here's more entertainment for you once the blasting race is over. Exactly. You know, a fun wants to ensure that even after you turn off the TV, you still entertained. I'm sure Bernie must be like jumping with joy right now. Oh Man, but that, speaking of Bernie, that just keeps reminding me how this new management change with FIA, and this is not the first time. We are, you know, bringing Fia into the picture of our discussions, because we have spoken about what the I F I are doing for episodes and episodes again, this time not so much FIA, but yes, FIA, because of hey, what's happening with Perelli? And you know you're supposed to manage that better. So yeah, yeah, what's happening with Perelli? NFI? Yeah, it's like quite concerning actually. I mean I mean concerning in the sense that the way the tires kind of just disintegrated for stroll as well as for Max and you know at Bark who, especially with such a long street, they basically cool and it's not exactly a straight, it's actually quite a you know, bendy straight. So yeah, they are going at some three hundred kilometers per are through those and if they cannot rely on the tires, I think that's that's a very dangerous game you're playing here. Totally. What's what was more interesting for me was, I think Parelli came back with a statement that, yeah, we cannot rule out debris. I think it was stilled every because there were other cars driving on the same track under similar conditions, with the same number of laps, and that to me sounds so stupid because with that logic, mazzopin should be able to overtake Hamilton because Hamilton styles are always gone. Like that logic is so flawed. Yeah, that's right. I mean it's pretty straightforward. You know,...

...like this is bad publicity for Parelli. They know what all the headlines are going to be like. So you know, they're trying to just get ahead of the story and, you know, point fingers so that people don't blame them totally totally. I think there was something similar that happened back in the years with the older retired partnerships to relizing good are Michelin. What was it? I don't really remember this. Yeah, I don't exactly remember what you're this was, but this was quite some time ago. This was, you know, Schumacher's Ferrari era. Basically, I think we there was a race at Indie and that time I think we had two a tire manufacturers and one of them, which is Michelin, did not have I or rather hard a softer compound, and they had recently resurface the track, attendee and because of which, like the surface was really abrasive. And basically what happened is all the teams that were using Michelan tiles were not not able to participate and the re started with just six people. Obviously all the crowd was pissed off and as they were asking for a refined corps were not even to handle the crowd. And Yeah, chip wrind, it's us a probably gun fires to here. Yeah, the size he but yeah, yesterday was was rather interesting because, to be honest, my first thought was stroll loses balance, something goes wrong, they're probably there was debris. I mean because because, as you said, really those feeds are so high on that, you know, somewhat of a strade that, yes, even the slightest of something can just cause huge damage. Similar stuff happened with Max. But I want to bring in head bull as a team here, because Skudos to them. They were on a winning like three laps to go. They were going to win. With peress there, they could have just finished on the safety car. But red bull coming onto radio talking Michael Messi, if a director explaining that he is totally unsafe to continue. Let's Red Flag, just just too much. Gooders do to red bull there. Oh yeah, definitely. I mean, like hats off to them that they put driver safety ahead of everything else, and that was the right call to make, and I'm glad the red flag did because, yeah, it's quite dangerous, right. I mean, these things should not, you know, there should be no debate over these things where sees and wold and essentially, considering the fact that we recently lost Jason, the passcure right from motor GP, you know, safety should always be the highest priority among everything early. Totally. I mean it would doubt a miracle, or something less than a miracle, that we actually saw both of...

...these drivers walk out of their car, because that high speed, you know, losing control, this could have gone in any direction. But well, the good part was it was it was not more than a hard break. But yeah, I could have totally been a subject to a strong heart beat study yesterday and someone could have studied my heart rate and, you know, come to some sort of conclusion that someone can live with such huge fluctuations into us. Yeah, my fitbit was just going creasy enough. Do you have a medical emergency? Well, I might give me five seconds. Yeah, I don't. Oh Man, yeah, I mean that pretty much. You know, I think Max must be writing a very strongly worded letter to Parilli right now because they basically read the race. But to be very honest, I will come back to what happened after that. But but eventually what ended up happening and whoever was on the podium. Yeah, I in that sense, who was on the constructor podium made sense because all three podium finishes were related to the Guy Standing on the constructor yeah, that's right. That was quite quite weird to see, right, like all, all three of them are essentially from the Red Bull Junior program and yeah, that's awesome. I mean it goes to show how much like Red Bull has contributed to the sport. Think about I mean pretty much you see the podium today. I mean all of them are, yeah, you know, people found by Red Bull. So yeah, let's obviously. I mean the other half of the sport is also some some of those famous Red Bull Academy drivers. So know, the recardo just just amazing drivers. But yesterday's podium, I think only probably Hamilton fans are going to be sad from yesterday, but I feel like the entire fun community and the fans communities is just too satisfied and happy to see the podium the way it was yesterday. I yeah, I just my weekend was such a roller coaster ride, but seeing that podium is like, okay, it's been an excellent weekend. Yeah, I mean I was a little sad that, you know, we were robbed of a very good qualification shootout, but yeah, the race like completely made up for it and especially the result that we got was I think it basically was the day of the underdogs...

...early kind of and, like you know, they it was their redemption day as such. I mean, as you know, Perez, who was kicked out of recent point like you see it, of who was kicked out of a different team exactly, Wattl who was kicked off from Ferrari, kick off, ferns, who basically replaced the other guy on the podium who was kicked off from the team. That's PS, you know it, and domino effect finally taking its place on the podium. But these guys have started here to get finally get used to the cars pres and metal in their new cars. They're getting way to comfy. We can see that. I think what it was fretty practice to wettle press stop the charts and and you know that just fund everyone. I'm pretty sure Christian Horner's finally thanking his stars that, after three failed attempts and two ruined careers, we have a driver I think. I think he probably considers the two ruined cargos are sacrifices, with the fone God's, which delivered betterst to him. And ritual is right. Every year read exactly. Oh Man. Yeah, but I mean I think red bull is now in a strong position as such with, you know, Betrez being there, because I think they finally have, you know, the right formula to win the championship. I mean, it definitely will be difficult because mostly these is strong, still strong, even though the results are contradictly. I understand. But Yeah, I'm pretty sure mark is going to come stronger. But yeah, anyways, talking about podium finishes, the next person battle, I mean, wow, I think majority of the FN community kind of cried out and joy to see him on t two after all the struggles that we have seen from him from last year. I think it was it was gut yeah, we like Papa Stroll probably was in mixed emotions yesterday because his car was on podium, but then baby stroll was almost gonna get injured heavily. So there's mixed emotions going through papa stroll at this point. Yeah, that I'm pretty sure papa stroll is super proud because, yeah, stroll also did incredible. Yeah, what I mean p nineteen to piece six. I think he was around P SX side. Yeah, totally he was. He was way up there. What I don't know is I don't know if if he had stopped before the incident, but in her respective I think he was. He was flying through Aston Martin overall. Felt very comfortable on that track yesterday...

...and yeah, overall a good weekend from Aston Martin by both the drivers. Obviously went along the podium, but strolled stroll as well. Yeah, Yep, Yep, Yep, definitely. I mean talking about bettle. You know, I'm kind I'm kind of really glad to see that he finally has kind of found his footing. You know, you could see the same in Monaco as well. I think he he ended up P four, P five for a p five and yeah, I can P two and that's really great. I really hope he kind of carries this this form ahead. And yes, what's become interesting is how vetal and Gast Lee have just been, you know, with each other since the past two races, because even last race we'll coming out of the pit lane and we got strolled and everyone got strolled and we never got to see it. But this this race to write, like right after both the restarts, wettle jumping and fighting that position with Gast Lee eventually being able to overtake that position in P two. So I think ghastly and wettle the the fight since the last two races. I've been amazing and I hope just this keeps climbing the ladder. Yeah, I that's that's super awesome. I mean that also kind of shows that Austin Martin and Alpha Tauri at kind of like quite close together in terms of performance because, yeah, now we're seeing them fighting each other a lot more, yeah, as compared to others. So yeah, I think I'm quite sure both the teams are, you know, eyeing that upper midfield slot right after Ferrari and mclarden. Faction. I mean talking of ghastly, not just from a from...

...a Alpha towery point of view, but as a driver also. The last three lap restart, it was so nail biting with him and Charles Luck Lerican Ferrari, because it was just like ghastly overtakes Charles, Charles overtakes gastly, ghastly takes it back yeah, and that was that was pure driver skill and, you know, just those two young colleagues going back to back with each other just just too amazing. Yeah, I mean what we saw today is what I love at the state of F one, you know, currently, because, like these are the young guns in the sport and they are going to be pretty much like the future champions, and this is the you know, legendary fights that will remembered later on, that you remember that Dave and Pierre and Charles are battling at out time. I'm pretty sure this is just going to get, you know, even moved as the season proceed totally and and speaking of young drivers to I think so. No, there's also finding his foot into that tight hower also, although I think he needs some lesson on radio communication, because what quote was that? I am doing, shut up an Emilia, don't come down on the radio. Hit The gas soon. And I think he people kind of discounted him a little when he came in like in the first few races. That, yeah, that's fine, like, you know, he is a little hot bird, but I think it's kind of getting annoying the way he keeps shouting out of her exactly. I didn't Rene. I'm pretty sure the engineer must be kind of fisted about it. But yeah, nonetheless he had a good, good race. At least he's finding is footing there. But I want to before before we move on to the next section, I want to come back to Perez and Red Bull, because I think what we have been waiting to see, and obviously more than as Christian owner's been waiting to see for all these races so far, is Perez become the boat. As for Red Bull, and yesterday was was so spectacular watching him, you know, block Hamilton and not just block and slow him down, but like also a fight for his own P too, and let Max fly. Yep, Yep, yeah, I mean that's pretty much, you know, what Red Bull wanted from the second driver, and pears is completely delivering it. Because, given if Paris wasn't there, I'm sure like first up in wouldn't have such a breeze of a race in general, he would have a lot of trouble from Hamilton. And Yeah,...

...that's what is putting red bull in that strong position now, because now they have the second driver. But it kind of seems like mercedies is losing their second driver. I think both ass is trying to find ways on how. Yeah, you sabotage me, let's see how I can pull the whole team down. Yeah, that's right. But beyond beyond Red Bull, I think like it was peress is nice, rare. That also kept him in front of that, I think. Yeah, I heard Hamilton praising Paris is rare and on radio. I don't know what that was about. Maybe you should get his number, as that radio communication back in forth was just amazing because it was like and and I think totally in terms of innuendos. Okay, so a press comes on to radio saying he's just too fast on Straights, I can't keep up with him, and then Hamilton comes on to the radio saying the rare so better on the red bull that I I just can't catch him on the middle sectors. I just did pure in terms of innuendos. What has happening there? Yeah, it was. It was quite, you know, quite entertaining that the radio messages were adding some spice to the race in general. I think there were a lot of good moments on radio throughout today's race. You know one that we discussed earlier about red bull talking with Michael Massi. That is I'm quite kind of, quite glad that we started to see this name inside and I did you also notice at the end of the race where a wetal got a radio from some journalist, I don't know who she was, but basically informing him that he got the driver of the day and obviously wetill, being better ass, who gave you my number. Yeah, basically shunder off, but I think we will just wanted to enjoy the movement rather than any other glory. I think Pto for him was just a yeah that point. Yeah, but yeah, good, good radios overall. Hamilton and, as usually, started complaining, but there's something happening at mercedies. To be very honest, I feel like they are now seriously feeling that that brunt and that pressure coming from Red Bull. We've not just seen that from Hamilton's radio, but like the overall way how the team's been performing with boat, as with with with Hamilton and, you know, just the last two races for example. Yeah, I mean mark, it kind of feels that we're finally seeing cracks in you know, there fortress as such.

...utill now, most of these has always been this institution which felt like, you know, was infailiable and all of a sudden, you know, it seems like they're all over the place. It kind of we it's quite evident that they are not as prepared to be the second fastest car on the track as they were while they were the firstest car of the Yap. Totally, totally. I mean, everything's easy going when you are leading, but not as soon as you start facing that challenge. You're absolutely right, you start seeing those cracks. What a poor day, poor vote, as was having Geo, Geo or too give nonetheless a good overtay. But I want, I want, Oh, I want to pause here and bring this thing into notice. Where we were like, I think, lapt twenty two ords something. Boat as his engineers came onto the radio and told boat as we are gonna target top five, and I actually started laughing watching the TV, like what parallel dimension is is going to happen in? Yeah, it completely felt like they were delusional and you know, I probably they were just trying to, you know, like up his morale, like when the kid is crying and his mother is like, you know, hey, kid, don't worry, I'll I'll make sure that you win it. When there was no way that was happening. I mean, nonetheless he got a good bit stop. But as soon as that that happened, yeah, the crash. And then what right in and over to okay, do you not see what o came and I'm like no, man, this is not gonna happen for you. I mean it was it was just sad to watch. I mean it at actually I thought that probably after the you know, the second standing start, after changing tires and everything, you know, he might be able to get some positions, I think, because before that he was at something like p eighty, was within points. You speak ten. I think he's final. Yeah, and yeah, you just lost two positions after that. I just I just couldn't get a graph of what's happening. Kimmy and Geo, Geo both took him and it was funny to see Alpha Umio, which is literally a team which has two points on the table, over take a down. Dude. That was so funny. Yesterday. The other thing that cracked me up was something that happened after the race, which was on that second restart. And let's come to this. First of all, my my emotional state at that point was surender pity at its best again for Hamilton. You know,...

...amazing he if you don't die. If you notice, he had a crack on his front wing and because of the red flag and the the whole stop, they replaced this. So he basically had a brand new car and as like, okay, now he's it's just a matter of time before he oh takes press instead. Yeah, but as we are saying this again, like they are, have started cracking under pressure, which is exactly what happened yesterday. And again there's a big spike in my heart beat there. Yeah, you know, one thing I noticed is I've noticed this a lot of times during races, like specially whenever Hamilton does a restart. Generally he's always at the front, Front of the grid, and so what ends up happening is he sets on that grid for a long time till the rest of the great forms, and a lot of times he overheats his breaks on purpose while doing the formation lap, so that while he's setting on the grid, his kind of breaks cool down. And you know, I turned one, he gets the optimal like break temperature, but this time, if you noticed, during the status breaks, a real little smoking they were. Yah. Yeah, and I think he probably overcook them a little and I think he kind of forgot that as a bison is British sickly just a straight at the end and the great formation is quite quick and I think that that was his feeling. And because since his breaks were overheated, he was not able to, you know, he just overshoot. Yeah, yeah, so what? So what he said after the the the race as a post interviewers, when there a started, he he accidentally nudged the button on his left hand and that just probably locked I don't know the exact but like it locked up their rears and and that's how we just ended up going stageward. was literally him fumbling into that situation. So he had a mass up in moment, right. Yeah, although Masipin didn't have a mass up in movement. died at Bakou. Yeah, that's right. I think none of the cheeky radio by him during qualification in a free practice, I think when yeah, hasn'tinly gave him some complicated inspect and even he was like, you know, yeah, this isn't when I go. I did it man. But but speaking of Massipin, because I know we're not going to come back to him again. What he was? He was being set in yesterday and trying to kill three people. I hear. Yeah, I'm first of all like where was he driving? His card throughout the race, I saw he was like some fifty seconds behind Schumacher. I'm like, what, why are you driving the same car ride? At one moment I actually thought that Mick might, you know, lap him, but I was really hoping that happens, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Though, during the end of the days he I think, almost...

...took out shoe me because, yeah, he did this weird twitch just as she was about two or so on safe. Yeah, maybe I think he was just slow me because he went somewhere else, considering he thought, eyes are Azerbaijan, close to Russia. Let me just take a detour somewhere. I'll come back, but now you're just being slow. anyways, idea is coming back to Mercedes. There's some unlucky stuff happening with mercedies yesterday as well, because that that Hamilton pitch top four point six seconds what so was somewhat unfortunate, not although completely their mistake. They had to wait for I think it was ghastly passing, as I in the pits, and I think even both as is what, slightly slower than usual. You just overall unlucky. They're, I think, like obviously Hamilton was super pissed off after that, you know, because he saw was stopping petting and coming ahead of him and then prespecting he also in ending up ahead of him and he was like, you know, what the Hell is going? How? I think you're coming out ahead of me, just just as just an unfortunate day for Mercedes since the last days, because even the last day was a bit unfortunate. But overall I think there was some other interesting battles happening in the grade. Not much credit to La Claire, but I think still much credit to luck let too, because he's he's truly showing that for our space, which wasn't visible earlier, although it ended up technically p sakes if Max and Hamilton were there, but before eventually not bad. Starting from P one science, I want to you know what about science, because smooth operator. We saw some smooth moves from him to yesterday. Yeah, but at the same time you also seeing him, you know, overshooting. Cordon is everywhere, reversing on two tracks. And doing all things that was so unsafe. Yeah, so I was a geo behind him, someone else was behind him and I was like, Oh man, that's so unsafe. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think, though, for this track at least, I think some of them have to reverse. That always reminder of the Ricardo crash with Kiya. He reversed into him. But yeah, but because there these run off areas are so narrow, it's not always, you know, there isn't enough space to turn around. They can always like just to a like a doughnut, like half a donut, and get back. I saw two moments, I think, during qualification which were really cool, one the boat has and one by a stroll where, you know, they did a quick one et turn. That was that is pretty cool to see. Yeah, Yep, Yep, Yep, totally. Yeah. The ferrady, I think, you know, has really up there game. I'm quite glad to see them, you know,...

...fighting mcclaren for that pthree position. Charles, as you mentioned, just amazing performance. He he is really great at, you know, extracting the very last drop out of the car. Because, yeah, Ferrari at p one didn't make sense at as a bison at all. Because you know, they have a engine right now. Yeah, yeah, it's just awesome that he was able to do that. Yeah, totally. There is a moment where I think even laty fee had some unfortunate incident. I can't totally remember, but you think he eventually ended up getting some great penalty because of that. A ten second go, stop and go, because Williams was having something funny happening. First of all, I think if it was Latifee, there was some radio message that he was late. I was totally teams fault. He was late to hear and was late to communicate and on the red flag he had to probably just go around the whole lap and come back. But that race restart I noticed Russell had sort of like quit DNF something like that. Ronald the Williams was out. Yeah, that's right. I think George Russell had a very, you know, weird moment during the race restarted. I saw that, you know, right after everybody was, you know, forming the grid, he was going into the pits and the right it is going to get it any it kind of stopped there as well. He wasn't really going in. He basically blocked the pits and also remember I saw that message from race control that pit lane, his clothes because he was basically blocking it turns out it was some gearbox failure that they had. Yeah, they just had to retire a cart and talking about retiring their cars, the race leaders, such a pair is might had, you know, ended up just before the finish line, if you know there was even in one or two laps more. Right, totally. I mean I saw I didn't know about this until like he pulled over right after the check it flag and I was like, wait, why is he here? Don't move your car or else you're going to get some sort of penalty, because you know they do. But I think I found out very later and I didn't know about the hydraulic until right now, but which is good to know in the sense that if there would have been a lap or two more, mettle would have been P one. Yeah, that would had been awesome. Right. Just imagine where till Pierre and Chall's on the podium. Yeah, yeah, I don't know, I don't mind that. Both Red Bull getting zero points and mercedies getting zero points. Sure, I can live with it. That's right, as long as Morg doesn't get ahead of red bill. I'm fine with it. I want this competition to stay spicy till the very end. I agree. I so agree to that. It should be like back and forth, back...

...and forth, all the way to the end. Yep, you know, I'm quite glad that Bak who was added to fan calendar since, I think, two thousand and sixteen, Right. I mean every year Bak who has delivered goold race. Yeah, and it's a very unique track, to think about it, with it being a street circuit. It has those wide streets and good overtaking opportunities, as well as you know tests that I was, you know, skill at these ninety degree corners and the gastle section. Yeah, the castle section is so narrow, right, it's insane. I mean just try driving enough fun car on a Sim you know simulator on that truck. It's almost impossible. It's yeah, so I'm going quite glad to see Baku again. It was one of the most underrated tracks, I feel, and I look forward to it every season totally, especially with the newer street circuits Sau they this is, this is definitely one that pleases everyone. So totally totally agree with you. Well with that. I think it's been now splendid, wonderful, blistering, blasting weekend. We hope to see more fighting, more midfield drama, more exciting races like this. You know, hopefully people are trying to kill each other on that track. But yeah, we'll be back again with with yet another race. I think the next one's French groper, so stay tuned for that. We may be having something coming next week, something colds probably brewing, so you'll have a surprise episode coming next week. Until then, these are your host signing off by.
